海外出張について 先月海外の学会(VTC2023 spring)に参加するため、イタリアに出張しました。 日本でもマスクを見る機会が大分減ったと思いますが、イタリアでは全く見ることがあり ませんでした。 海外学会は観光地で行われることが多く、僅かばかりの観光が楽しみの一つとなっていま す。 生憎、私は発表日が最終日だったため参加できませんでしたが、同僚はローマを満喫した との事でした。 学会自体はつつがなく終わったのですが、帰国後直ぐにコロナに発症しました。 参加者の中では唯一の感染者でした。 観光もせずホテルにこもっていたのですが、どこかでウィルスを貰ってしまったようです。 これまで何とか感染せずにこれたので、とても悔しいです。 皆様の海外旅行の際は、お気を付け下さい。 もう海外出張はこりごりです。 About an Overseas Business Trip: Last month, I went on a business trip to Italy to attend an international conference (VTC2023 spring). While I think the opportunity to see masks has significantly decreased in Japan, I didn't see any at all in Italy. International conferences are often held in tourist destinations, and enjoying a bit of sightseeing is one of the pleasures. Unfortunately, since I was presenting on the final day, I couldn't participate in the sightseeing, but my colleagues thoroughly enjoyed Rome, or so they said. The conference itself ended without any problems, but I developed symptoms of COVID immediately after returning to my country. I was the only one infected among the attendees. I hadn't done any sightseeing and stayed in the hotel, but it seems I somehow caught the virus. I had managed to avoid infection until now, so I'm very frustrated. Please be careful when traveling abroad. I've had enough of overseas business trips.
